In June 2010, Steve successfully completed a solo challenge of the Enduroman Deca UK. This is a 10 iron in 10 day format challenge that was completed so that a standard Deca could be held in the future.

Steve had recce'd dozens of sites across the UK and had already tested a course in Cornwall. On 3rd June 2011, a world record breaking 20 athletes toed the start line at the Enduroman Deca UK in the New Forest, Hampshire. Steve race directed the event which also consisted of a Double, Triple, Quintuple and a 100 mile ultra marathon.
