Enuroman number 4 and number 1 - en route to paris

welcome to the world of no.4

In August 2007, Steve Haywood became only the 4th person in history to complete the Enduroman Arch to Arc triathlon. This is a challenge that tests the body and mind of the most experienced ultra endurance athletes on the planet. The event starts with an 87 mile run from London's Marble Arch to the Dover coast, then the athlete must swim across the English Channel to the French coast, and finally the athlete finishes with a 181 mile bike from Calais to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Since the A2A, Steve has successfully personally coached 3 other athletes to complete the challenge. Steve has also used his own training theory, 'SYSTEM 4', to coach 7 age group triathletes to elite status.

Previous to the A2A, Steve has completed many ultra distance triathlons, runs and swims as well well as representing Great Britain at short & long course triathlon, 800m, 1500m and cross country. In 1993, Steve joined a excusive middle distance club by running a sub 4-minute mile on the track as well as running 1000 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End.

Steve has pioneered ultra triathlon in the UK. He was the first athlete to complete a Deca Iron in the UK before organising the event the following year in 2011. As the Director of Enduroman, Steve now directs the Enduroman Arch to Arc, Deca, Quintuple, Triple & Double triathlons as well as the Enduroman 100 Ultra Marathon
